March 21 - March 28, 2014. TheRaam's Epic Young Swingers Week Trip Report
Hey everyone! We visited Hedonism II from March 21, 2014 - March 28, 2014 and were part of the Young Swingers Week group. This was our third trip and our first time back since the new owners took over and this was our best trip of the 3 by far. Our previous trips were in March and November of 2012. In this first post in this thread I am going to post a short, concise review but for those who want to see my complete day-by-day epic trip report, check the next few posts after this one.
We touched down in Montego Bay around 12:45pm Jamaica time (they don't observe Daylight Savings Time, so roll those watches back an hour!) and by the time we made our way through the airport, grabbed some Duty Free alcohol (they have cigarettes too) on the arrivals side, grabbed our bags, and got through customs, we made it to the Hedonism II desk at like 1:30pm. Our bus headed out for the resort around 2pm and it happened to be full of other Hedo guests which was AWESOME!
We pulled up to the resort around 3:30pm, checked into room 1143 which was Garden View Prude (GVP) on the clothing optional (or "prude" for short) side. Our room had a working phone. So did our friend in 2256. We found this out when she called us from her room.
Our room had PLENTY OF HOT WATER! In the middle of the day (11am to 1pm) it was not even possible to take a cold shower. Our friends in room 1127 were not so lucky, and had times when they had to take lukewarm showers. I offered use of ours to them.
We started off our trip by hitting the nude pool as soon as we could, so we were able to take in a bit of the Hedo Amigos' Friday Blowout Party, which was rockin and a lot of fun. That Friday night the theme was Rock Star, and they had some great food that night. Grilled Lobster, sushi, stir-fry, mashed sweet potatoes, and much more. On that note I'll say this: I've never had issues with the food at Hedo, but I felt that the food this time was even better than before. Also, the food at the restaurants was great, with the food at Martino's being amazing. If you eat there, go hungry!
The Young Swingers Week group leaders made sure to have all kinds of mixers, parties, contests, and gatherings scheduled throughout the week so that the party never came to a halt. I know that they were up at 6am every day making sure to take care of any issues that our group had, and making sure that those that arrived later in the week got the same welcome and gifts that the rest of us got who arrived on the first days.
If you go to youngswingersweek.com and click March 2014 you can see all the events, mixers, games, parties, contests, and prizes that they provided and full descriptions of them, but for the lazy I'll list some of them here: couples speed dating, Cock & Tail Party (yummy appetizers were served at this, stuff I didn't see anywhere else throughout the week), pole dancing contest, naked twister (won by this guy right here), women's oil wrestling vs. the Divine Men of Choice, goat races, a ladies-only strip tease with the Divine Men, and more. On two of the days we were there, the parties started at the prude pool and surprisingly, they were a whole lot of fun!
On previous trips I had never seen more than a handful of people at the prude pool at a time, most of whom were only there for getting a quick and easy drink before heading somewhere else. On Tuesday and Wednesday they had the prude pool rockin with the dj spinning some tunes (and it wasn't unbearably loud since the speakers weren't aimed right at us like the nude pool) and I now have a new appreciation for that part of the resort. Most of our group wore nothing, but some ladies took this opportunity to show off some nice barely-there bikinis as well. Of course, as these days went by, everyone eventually ended up completely naked and migrated to the nude side (as they should!) but having a party at the prude pool is a nice change of scenery. It also put is in close proximity to the water slide, which otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone down this trip! Kudos to YSW for starting the party there on a couple of days.
We all know that the PEOPLE are what makes Hedo what it is, and throughout the week we met so many amazing and sexy couples, many of whom were visiting Hedo for the first time ever, one couple who were newleyweds on their honeymoon, one couple who had their wedding at Hedo, and some of the most interesting people coming from all kinds of different places and professions. We have been to more than a few lifestyle takeovers and parties and we had never experienced a crowd like this. Everyone I talked to throughout the week seemed to be having a great time, many of whom also expressed that this was the best vacation, lifestyle party... hell, party PERIOD they had ever had. That definitely goes for yours truly. The only thing I would change about this trip is I wish I had booked for 9 days instead of 7.
Kudos to YSW, this was your first event and you really knocked it out of the park. I'm hoping that your next events are as awesome as this one, and I have no doubts that they will be.
During this trip I managed to take notes every day so I wouldn't forget any detail of my trip. The next posts in this thread will be my full day-by-day trip report. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in this thread. I hope you all enjoy it!
