When are you going? The past two years (March time frame) the water was too rough and the trips were cancelled. Check dennyp.com site for info as well.
Enjoy!
Not sure on the weather then. Good luck.
The snorkling boat goes out in the late am and again in the afternoon. There are several differnent sections of reefs they go to. So you could go out 3 or 4 times and not go to the same place. The equipment is usually pretty good and it's free just like the sailing, scuba, etc.. The boat is relatively flat bottom which holds about 20 - 25 people and very easy to get in and out of. The trips are 1 hour and you get about 40 mins. of water time. We've gone at the end of May and it's been great. Some women even snorkle topless which is a plus.
The snorkelling was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Captain Adrian will take you to some great spots. We brought our own equipment because we are more comfortable using our own stuff. It also allows you to go snorkelling on your own. There is reef just on the other side of the nude beach, and I recommend snorkelling between the two beaches.
H3 October 27- November 6, 2008; Judi and Reason's birthday trip, it was a blast
we went at H3 in January - didn't find it very enjoyable...at least not like in the Caymans or Bahamas. Not too many colorful fish, etc. I jumped back on the boat early and took a nap.
gear was okay though - hard to find a vest to fit. they have very small sizes.
We were at Hedo 11 and found it OK-if you are tight on space like we were we just pack your snorkel-just nicer having your own rather than one that several people have had in their mouth-see Hep A and B thread
