First Timers! (Hedo III Aug 12 - 16)

    Hello!

We are getting very excited about our trip and loving all the pre-trip shopping!!

These boards have been very helpful in planning and just wanted to thank everyone for being so honest and candid about your experiences.

There is one question that we still have though:
    - What does "DIF" stand for??

Thanks again! Looking forward to an awesome time!

    Dreaded Island Fever.

It's kind-of a wistfullness/happy/sad/feeling/disease/emotional state-of-mind you get when you find that you aren't in Jamaica, or Hedo any longer. It's symptoms include daydreaming and planning for your next trip, avoiding family and friends (who have no idea) talking out loud to yourself (and others) sometimes while in situations when it's NSFW. When it's all you can talk/think/dream about, you've caught it bad. The only cure is a return trip of at least 5-7 days, minimum.

Here's a quote from my wife a few years back,,,,,,

A couple of years ago, before we met, she was essentially laid off from the VA hospital for working too many hours for the year that the VA had alloted for her fee basis position, she spent a month at H2,,,,,,DIF ever since.

Hope Y'all have fun on your trip. The BareAss Buccaneer's will be arriving on the 15th. Come join us at the nude pool. Or, I guess, we'll be joining you, LOL.

Other symptoms can, but not necessarily include,,,,,,

*Cycles of increased energy, restlessness, and inability to sleep (often seen in stimulants, and mist often seen as your trip date creeps ever closer)
*Abnormally slow movements, speech or reaction time, confusion and disorientation (often seen in the nude pool while drinking, the piano bar-Karaoke night, and many other events not mentioned here)
*Unexpected changes in clothing, such as constantly wearing short sleeved shirts with island patterns, going commando more and more often, absentmindedly throwing a towel over your shoulder as you head on over to the "nude closet", "nude hot tub", or wherever nude locale you have.
*Suspected and excessive online involvement with the 4 Hedonism forums, related Krewe's/clubs/groups and individuals,,,,,, and liking it, LOL.
*Unusual calmness, unresponsiveness or looking “spaced out”, usually before you've booked.
*Cycles of being unusually talkative, “up” and cheerful, with seemingly boundless energy, usually after you've booked, or just before your flight to Mobay lifts off.
*Lowered threshold for getting naked,,,,, at any time.
