    Exclamation Caution re: staph infection

Just wanted to pass along some cautionary info. Liz recently came down with a nasty staph infection in her foot. Another friend has had similar infections twice - both times shortly after returning from H2.

We're guessing that there's a fair amount of it around on the beach and the loungers. (It appears that it's actually quite common and ~25% of us carry it without symptoms.)

So, wanted to pass along the info, so folks know to be careful to avoid cuts and scratches when there, and treat any abrasions with extra care if you do get one.

Watch your foot wear! Good point. And it doesn't necessarily come from areas in and around the pool/hot tub...on the concrete pads (although they probably get the most traffic!) There are staff infections that can come from organisms deposit (from the sea, you naughty minded animals!)...especially certain species of coral.
