what is the best thing to bring cash or checks to Jamaica

Cash for small things and a credit/debit card for big things.

I will usually bring 3 to 5 hundred and usually go home with most of that. Bring small bills 1's,5's,10's,a few 20's. 100's are sometimes hard to get change for. But most places will accept american currency.

we are taking 500 dollars which is half of what we took last time. you can buy all the smoke you want for 60 bucks and everything else is free except for the cruises. Take a credit card if you are into buying big stuff while on vacation.

5 more days and DIF is over .....fuck yeah!

If you are taking your credit/debit card, be sure and call your bank and let them know the dates you will be out of the country or you may be sad to find out it doesn't work down there !! We only activate ours for the exact dates we will be there for safety sake!!

One other thing, more and more places are getting hesitant about taking travelers checks. They've simply become too easy to phony. Cash or C/Cards are the answer.
