Love the tips and comments! You guys are crackin me up over here!
I had a GREAT first experience! The woman , [who is Brazilian- ironically-] was very kind and gentle and it hurt very little! No pain meds, no cocktails~
I have a small landing strip and a smile! NOW I am ready for Hedo 2~
AND it was a little embarrassing, BUT -not as embarrassing as giving birth - SO TRUE! hahaha
leaving for Negril at noon on Sunday, June 28th!

    Waxing is for me!

I've been waxing since last year. It started with a discussion on this forum and some vodka! LOL Recently I just talked a skeptic friend of mine into her first time...she's a total convert now. It DOES hurt but it is tolerable and insignificant before you even leave the salon. I recommend doing some research and calling or visiting the salon before you commit. Pricing and experience vary a great deal from salon to salon. I've had 2 different salons and prefer someone with more than 5 yrs experience.

Last year Valentine's Week at Hedo II was the most fun I've ever had.
This year will be our first trip to Hedo III April 23 - May 1 2010.

I have a question...I've been shaving my, uh, sensitive parts for several years, but I've been considering going the waxing route. I understand it takes longer for it to grow back in that way. Any guys have any experience with waxing?

I have done it. It hurts but it is not as bad as you might think. You get a great result, which is well worth the pain. Very smooth and it took about two week before I started to notice hair growth. Be sure you go to someone that has experience waxing men.

LOL, I'll definitely take your advice on that one! If I have two weeks before I see hair growth (or feel stubble) that will be great...

I've had 5 done total in the last year and each time it takes longer to come back, really nice advantage to waxing! This last time lasted almost 3 weeks. So 3 weeks plus the week of growth allows me to get it done once a month thru the summer. No stubble, no unsightly bumps and razor burn, can't beat it for 15-30 minutes of discomfort. Oh, I get the brazilian for my trip to Hedo and the lips and rear do not hurt anywhere near as much as the bikini area. I hardly notice when she does those areas.

Pretty much the same for guys. The boys and the shaft don't hurt as much as the bikini area which really surprised me. Be sure to exfoliate before and after to avoid ingrown hairs.

    My advice:
-watch out for double dipping!!!! if your esthetician goes to put the stick in the wax pot twice, do not continue with the service!
-exfoliate regularly!! couple times a week!
-NO TANNING FOR 24 HOURS AFTERWARDS!!!
