Nubecple? Nu be to the forms I would guesss with 12 visits to Hedo. Hard to believe that someone who has been to Hedo 12 times would find their trip seriously detracted from if they couldn't video their wife. And yes it is the owner not the camera that is the problem, but how do you determine who is the problem person? There are rules at Hedo, and they need to be reviewed and enforced. There are many places a person can take nude pics of their wives without having to make other guests at the resort uncomfortable. I too love taking pics of my wife but who is to judge if you or I are one of the problem people or not? I would happily give up the camera for more privacy around the resort and especially in the disco and during the theme nights. The entertainment crew is always telling people (after they start taking pictures) that no cameras are allowed during the shows or in the disco. What makes it so hard to understand? No pictures means no pictures, not no pictures only applies to situations that you think it applies to. Take all the pictures of your wife you want on the prude side, or even in the optional area during the morning or daytime, but leave it in the room at night so that the guests who want to dress up or as daring as they want, don't have to re-think the reasons they are at Hedo. We go there to escape the reality, get naked, dress up to impress or shock people, or simply make them smile. We do it all the time, and receive many complements about it, but we don't do it so that some perv in the corner can take pictures then go home and jerk off or share our pics with their friends. If people could be trusted to only take pictures of the people they are with then all would be fine, but we are human beings not dogs, and we will always justify getting that sneak pic if we think we won't get caught. There are many who bring the camera to the shows and never point it at their partner. They are there to record their trip so they can review it later (in the bathroom with a bottle of hand lotion) And that is wrong. In Canada or the US, if you take a picture of someone walking down a public street and make that person the focus of your photograph without their permission you are setting yourself up for an invasion of privacy law suit. Someone goes to Hedo, a resort that they pay to go to expecting privacy, and someone takes their picture without permission, and for some messed up reason there are people that seem to think it's ok, because that person has dressed (or not dressed) in a way that that draws attention. Follow the rules is a simple statement. If people can't follow the rules, then it is time to extend the rules and inconvenience everyone, to protect the privacy of everyone, rather than slack on the rules to make the inconciderate pervs happy.
My suggestion is that you cannot punish the majority of people, those who use cameras as they should be used, for the actions of an irresponsible few. Not in a free country at least. If someone is caught doing the wrong thing with a camera, there should be severe sanction, but a blanket ban on cameras would be draconian and wrong.
I don't take nude pictures of my wife in public places because we don't go to the nude side. It may be hard for you to believe that someone who has been to Hedo 12 times would find their trip seriously detracted if they can't photograph or film their wife, but that is the fact in my case, I don't have to justify it to you. Hedo is different things to different people and for me, it is all about looking at my wife dressed in ways that she can't at home and then being able to relive those moments, even when she is back here in mother mode. I'm not the least bit interested in any other woman on the resort, as far I'm concerned I have arrived with the most attractive woman, and getting a "sneak pic" of someone else doesn't do it for me. I do and will continue to take my camera with me at night and find somewhere on the prude side where I can take pictures of my wife.
I have no problems with any of the existing rules about anything at Hedo and I abide by them, I have not suggested that anyone should slack on the rules. I have also not in any way suggested that it is ok to take pictures of anybody without permission, I think it is totally wrong. I have not defended such behaviour and if such people get done with an invasion of privacy lawsuit or worse, they deserve it. What I have said, and I say again, is that it would be wrong to ban cameras from the resort altogether.
We took lots of pictures early in the morning when it was quiet. We took some nice sunset shots including pictures of a couple we met there (on request) and emailed them to them in Europe afterwards. All quite appropriate.
Lots of pictures taken on the nude cruise, but carefully shot to avoid the other tourists. also, give people in the shot time to react and let you know if there is a problem or just get their face out of the shot.
Not appropriate: the fully clothed refugee from sandals who was being escorted away by security by Delroy's and had the gall to wander up to a oceanview suite while being harried by the gaurd and try to snap pictures into the room.
The point being no matter how noble most/some people intentions are there are just as many wanting to exploit the situation.
It's seems easy enough "hey, please don't take a picture of me" and they take a picture of you anyway. Or they're posing everywhere in front of lots of people and not giving anyone a chance to move out of the way. Or they're taking pictures of their nude spouse on stage with other nude people after the EC says not to.
We've seen many people take group pictures on the nude side during regular operating hours and 99% of the time everyone knew what was going on and everyone was very respectful of it, on both ends. (allowing groups to take pictures, and the group respecting other people's feelings and not being a huge inconvenience) The person behind the camera always made sure anyone who didn't want to be in the shot wasn't. and that 1% has always been obvious. Like the time these ppl in the 2nd floor corner room had a camcorder pointed at the pool, Or the guy at the far end on the other side of the hot tub. It was so obvious.
We've run into this problem a few times and never had much of a problem making it stop. Except once... and they were pretty damned obvious, if I wasn't 4 a.m. drunk, I would have punched her in the face.
Sorry everyone I am off theme again... My mind wonders every once in a while...
Interesting thread, bear with me my typing stinks.I know this is a hedo2 thread but what the heck here goes,hedo2 twice,hedo3 28 times including one 70 [yes 70 day stay] we have never had a problem with taking pics. I do understand although what dsquared is saying no pics mean no pics......simple to follow that rule! I guess we are old school I think we have pics of two other couples with us [dressed] in all the years going, but it seems [to us anyway] that a new type of person is going to hedo now. It would appear that that the 20 somthings have caught on to our little secret and are using new ways to take pics. We have seen this about 6 times at hedo3, the staff did delete the pics taken. The answer [copyright your image only cost about 25 dollars] then if your image if found you have a trail to follow....i know sounds silly.....but no one wants a letter from a lawyer in their mailbox. Sad state of affairs is it not? On a lighter note my wife took some pics on the nude side at hedo3.....at the sunset...after yelling she was going to do it....with a guard next to her they ended up being displayed in the freakin library of congress ......go figure a pic of a sunset from hedo.....we still laugh at that. Our 2 cents worth......
Well... I just got back from Hedo and have to kick in my two cents on this one. There were three incidents of picture taking on my week long stay. One was in the piano bar where some poor, fellow newbie couple ended up nude and swapping clothes on the piano, and here comes Mr. Picture Snapper snapping at least a dozen pictures of them. I know for a fact he wasn't with them, so that was disappointing. (I would've said something to him, but it was our first day there and he was with a group). He then just started taking random pictures of the piano bar which caused us to leave. (It was fetish night, and I didn't want any pictures of me in that small outfit) The second incident was on the dancefloor at the buffet. The disco was closed, so they had the dancing in the buffet area. Anyway, he literally just went all around from every angle snapping so many pictures it looked like a paparazzi fest. He must've had a fancy camera that would just continually shoot. This time, however, one of the EC's said something to him and he screamed back at her that he was just taking pictures of his wife. NOT!! He was so far away and snapping too quickly and from so many angles there was just no way that was true. It ended up where SHE, the EC, was the one actually getting in trouble by the manager I guess for pissing the guy off. We actually went over and vouched that she was doing her job and we appreciated her putting a stop to it. The last incident was some creep taking pictures from his room window on the nude side toward the nude pool bar. THAT WAS CREEPY! We spotted him and told security. I don't really know if they did anything or not. It sure made us think twice about going to the bar above water. I have to say, the picture thing REALLY had an effect on our trip because we had to avoid some situations that otherwise would've been a lot of fun.
I hate to say this but if you object to having your picture taken at Hedo don't go. Their is no way to enforce the no picture rule effectively. I don't like it or agree with this but it is a simple fact. If someone wants to get photos of naked or costumed Hedo guests it is easily done. These days cameras can be hidden in a pair of friggen sunglasses. The technology is unbelievable. So if some pervert wants photos they will get them.

Oh and simple solutions, when in-appropriate pics are taken, I don't believe camera's float, and the ocean and pools are always near by.
