    Questions, Decisions, Question???

    Hi everyone,
my girlfriend and I are up in the air about going to Temptation(Cancun) or Hedonism in mid September, Anyone ever been to both and could give us some insight?

    Other Questions.....

    1. The disco...What is the music like?
    2. Hows the participation on theme nights?
    3. What is the night life like (disco/clubs, are they on or off resort, Anyone party off the resort)?
    4. How do the people compare to Temptation Cancun or in general (age, attitude, diversity)
    5. Scenery off the resort (YS Falls, Cliff Diving, ect.) Does it cost anything to go?
    6. Does the hotel normally charge extra if you take any drinks from the fridge(in-room)?
    7. Anyone have any trouble bring sex toys or liquor into Jamaica (in-checked luggage)?

Thanks in advance! I know it may seem like a lot but time is crunching down! haha

Only been to Hedo but here it goes:
    1. Music is hit or miss. But you can request songs.
    2. Depends on groups there and the night, some nights are more than others. We will be there mid Sept and will be dressing for every theme night.
    3. The party starts at the piano bar, heads to disco and ends up at the hot tub (or our room), basic night.
    4. There is no comparison, from what we hear from people that have been to the other resorts, there is nothing like the Hedo atmosphere or the people at Hedo.
    5. Off site trips are extra.
    6. Only suites have fridges and they are restocked daily and limited but included.
    7. No problems bringing either in on any of our trips.
Let us know if you have any other questions and maybe we will see you soon.

Off topic but carry on sex toys are NO big deal, just take the batteries out so you bag does not vibrate till they are dead. Well all the ones we carry anyway.

    1. Last week's music at the disco has no bearing on what is played this week -- depends on the DJ and the guests. Mexico and Jamaica are totally diferent places. Temptation's clients usually go off site for disco evenings (the resort ran a shuttle bus when we were there to places like Senior Frog etc.)

    2. Ditto. See above. Some weeks people join in, others they don't. Temptations crowd in Sept/Oct was predominantly Scottish and North UK when we were there. They tend to stay for two weeks. Totally not a North American crowd during the Fall months!

    3. No off campus nightlife at Hedo. Lots in Cancun.

    4. People are people. They don't compare and Hedo people accept almost everyone. Not the right question to answer.

    5. Too busy with the on-campus sights at Hedo (way too busy). Cancun has loads of for a fee trips -- very reasonable and very interesting. You can even do free trips by spending a few minutes with an incompetent time share sales person. Don't take a wallet and claim to be in bankruptcy, then take the full day free trip to Chichen Itza. A great free day!

    6. What in room fridge. You've got to be kidding me. Read up on these places please.

    7. The problems with baggage and what's in the bags are not in Jamaica but in the US. There your bags are supposed to be unlocked so anyone and everyone can open them and rob you blind. There is no security for your possessions while in the US or when returning. Check the security regs before you pack. Jamaican customs know that all Hedo visitors are perverts, so welcome them in with open arms and hands (for a big tip). No problems with the Mexican spin to win inspections either. Stay away from Miami and a few other places though and don't even pretend to have controlled substances etc.

Hedo and (both) Temptations and Desire offer GREAT vacations with wonderful people -- especially if you too are a fun couple and friendly.

Has anyone ever booked Hedo through Hotwire or Travelocity or any sites similar?

Might seem petty, but do they carry Amaretto? Just asking in case I gotta bring my own

First year we booked thru superclubs site. Last year and this year we booked with Castaways Travel. We are going with the "Hellians" group Sept 17-24. Garden View Prude is $1680 for the week, that's for both, not per person. Don't know if you will find a better rate anywhere else. Superclubs is showing $2240.

If you're looking for deals, try Skoosh.com. They had the lowest prices BY FAR out of all the sites I looked at (and travel agents I talked to.) They are based in the UK so your bank might hit you with an "international exchange fee" but the total cost will probably still end up saving you money. For us, the fee was about 3% of the transaction charge.
