Quick brief and to the point trip report.
• Journey from MoBay to Hedo and return 10/10 with www.viatour.com mini bus one way Mercedes C class brand new return 60 bucks.
• Arrival at Hedo 11 pm Friday 22nd Nov. Staff knew of our arrival and were waiting with all documentation. Booked Prude Garden and got Prude Beach view.
• Excellent room, AC was brilliant, newly painted and very clean, shower worked well, some trouble with hot water but nothing to get excited about.
• Towels were available for the beach in the room, but sometimes bath towels were missing, a call to housekeeping got results.
• Food, it had been 2 years since our last visit and we did not see a great deal of improvement in the food, Martino’s was ok but no better than the average Olive Garden in our opinion.
• Harry Sans was ok and fun to eat at but nothing special. Buffet has said was about the same, it must have been bad in the past.
• Great sun loungers and umbrellas and plenty of them.
• Bars, service was excellent in all of them with plenty of staff with smiley faces.
• Entertainment staff were great and much improved, good shows and Winston was Winston.
• Piano bar, new guy was good and we had some good nights in there but don’t want to go there every night.
• Disco, Empty most nights. As the Tramps said in their song Disco Inferno, burn. Yes burn it down or make something of the facility.
• New shop was excellent and great to see some good theme clothing available at value for money prices.
In summary we enjoyed ourselves as always and it was a good week. Butt Crackers and Toms Trips were in the house which made up a lot of the numbers and it was good to see old friends and make new ones. Improvements were in the right direction but a lot more to do. Would we go back? The answer is yes, we enjoy the place, the people and the freedom.
