One thing you should do early evening!

Just came back and a couple invited us to go down and watch the rays show on the pier one night about 8pm. Now during the day you seldom see much activity swimming around, so we where like ray show? - humm - well I don't know what rays do during the day , but they are hanging at Hedo at night and there are alot of em!. Saw a spotted come out of the shadows bigger than my arm span and just cruise by. Its something you will remember and make you think twice about swimming out to the new platform at night.

They are so beautiful and graceful. They're there in the day but they bury themselves under the sand. I've seen a few people try to pick them up Then they're surprised when this turns out to be a bad decision.

they seem to move more in the cooler temperatures than in the summer.

We have seen them jumping out in Sept 2007 on our first Hedo Trip.

We see lots of rays in Fla, but we are going to have to wander out there one evening take a look.

We went down to the pair with another couple in February to feed the fish. With the fish feeding frenzy, it excites the rays. We saw huge rays jumping at least 5 feet out of the water. It was a great thing to watch.

we go every night after dinner as well. If you are not a fan of bats, stay away from the light post, they tend to swoop after bugs there. Personally I love them...they eat mosquitos--how could you not like them if for nothing but that reason :-D
