Wondering if anyone has any update on how Delroy is doing now?

Seems that Delroy is doing fine. Whether he and Scumba are still employed at the resort is in question. Don't know anything based in fact, only what rumors fly on the internet. I do know for a fact that any and all of my attempts to find out the facts go unanswered.

Dennyp's board has it that he and Scumba were terminated from Hedo.

I was told by the staff when i was there that at least scumba had been terminated for coming in late to work. Of course everyone jumped down my throat since I must have been wrong, but I am pretty sure that it is true

I wouldn't doubt that it is true. With the Jamaican tradition of everything being done well and on time I can see the need to terminate a long term employee for late arrival.
We are excited about spending a week naked in Jamaica in January. Not at all excited about the new management and the 'new' Hedonism.

They may not be perfect (as no one is) but they saved our second home from being sold to non hedonites and not have a Hedo to go to anymore. So I think they are doing great.

I agree with Mac, we are lucky that the place wasn't sold and turned into another family resort like H3. So far I think they have done wonders considering the state Superclubs left it in. We were there when the new management took over and saw improvements immediately and a marked change after only one year. Can't wait to get back.

I am not a travel agent, I am a host of a group. I do not get paid for booking rooms so there is no financial interest, only a love of Hedo and I am grateful it is still there to go to year after year and it wouldn't be without these new owners.

I have been around Hedonism long enough to know how group "hosts" are compensated for their efforts. And don't think that there were not other groups interested in continuing the traditions of the resort when the sale was made.

Hedofuna_b who cares glad Hedo is still around. No other place in the world like it. Will miss Scumba and Hope Delroy returns at some point.

There were other parties interested in the resort. They all wanted to make it a family resort.

Hedo is still there as we love it and it is improving so if you aren't looking forward to the 'new' Hedo and the new management as you say, then there are lots of other resorts out there that will be happy to take your money. Respect

The resort giving group hosts a comp room for part of their stay and saying group hosts have a financial interest in the resort are two very different things.
