    A Jerk question -

    Been to Hedo numerous times and quite good in the kitchen so here is my Jerk question. I know of all of the Jerk marinades like Spur Tree, Walkerswood and the others BUT what I am looking for is the Jerk Sauce that is put on after it has been grilled - the reddish, thinner tasty sauce. Can anyone tell me what to buy or how to make it???

    It's Grace catsup, jerk seasoning and Grace hot sauce mixed together the thinned with water. I watched the nude food shack cook mix it one day.

    Note: You have to get the jerk season recipe from the Hedo website. It is different from the marinades sold commercially. Similar to a rub.

    the last time we was at hedo the sauce you are talking about had a lot of beer in it... wasn't as good as before....

    you use the marinade to make the sauce, see my previous post for mix. It's catsup, marinade, hot sauce thinned with water and red stripe beer. It is mixed by taste and consistency not specific amounts of each item.

    Lawrys Carribean Jerk is the closest to hedo jerk sauce that I've found. Available in most grocery stores at around $2 and I don't have to make it!
