Long pants for guys at dinner

I have seen this issue dealt with a couple times previously on the forum with the answers seeming less than conclusive.

    My questions:
    1) Is there actualy a "dress code" rule that request that guys wear long pants to dinner (not shorts)?

    2) Is this enforced?

    3) What percentage of guys do wear long pants to the restaurants (Munasan and Pastafari)?

Thanks see you in Hedo III July 26 - August 6!

I can't even imagine having a pair of long pants with me for any reason. As discussed, they are not required.

The ladies may have to cover certain parts with a towel, however, as my wife was asked to do once when her slutwear didn't quite "measure up" (so to speak).

My answer: my other half wore dressy shorts (if that makes sense) to dinner at the Munasan and pastafari.

    2) Is this enforced?

My answer: He tried to go into pastafari with a sleeveless shirt and was told he needed sleeves, he did go back to the room and change. When we went to Munasan he had a shirt with sleeves and shorts again and we had no issues.

    3) What percentage of guys do wear long pants to the restaurants (Munasan and Pastafari)?

My answer: I didn't see anyone in long pants

    *My answers are in BOLD.

Again, he wasn't wearing jean shorts, don't know if that makes a difference.

    Hope this helps!

Just to chime in - no - there is absolutely no requirement to where long pants at any point in your trip.

The only long pants I have ever worn were long PJ pants, and one time I wore full jeans as part of a costume. I have seen plenty of people wearing long linen pants to dinner though. Really - wear whatever you want. We had to cover up a little more at Munasen on Toga night last year because apparently someone got splattered and burnt.

Edited to add: Just saw your trip dates ... see you at Hedo!

I think that "long pants" rumor comes from Braco. Braco does require long pants in some of their restaurants, but never at Hedo. They do restrict tank tops and T shirts for men in the theme restaurants though. They also are pretty clear about the dress code concerning covering "strategic" areas. The following is a quote from the actual reservation form you sign when you make the reservation:

"Dress Code: No exposure of private parts (breasts and genitalia must be properly covered). Pants and shoes must be worn."

(Note that it does not state whether long or short pants are acceptable.)

Shorts and a shirt. period. Its Jamaica for christ sake. If you've ever been its the most humid place ( my opinion ) on earth. Especially in August.
