Hedo III is closing for good (BAD)

That's a great article. Seems pretty clear that we're not losing Hedo 3.

Being an occasionally cynical bastard I will wait to see what happens after our trip home 7/29-8/7. I will, however, be bringing home the rock.
Of course, this also means that we will absolutely have to tear the roof off during AWOL week- like we needed the excuse!
Hoping that the rumor mill is running overtime and things are irie for next year- I will go to II if that is where my hedo friends are... but would prefer not to!

Well if the rumors are true we hope you have the time of your life! Considering we just came back had we known we would have boooked for closeout week. Give Serena and John at the the nude grill our best and blow the roof off! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!. Oh and did we mention how much we enjoy reading your closing line about Kitty everytime you post! lol

It is Tuesday May 4th 7:40pm. I just called the number and spoke with the front desk. I asked " Is it true that Hedo3 will be closing in August and reopening under a different name in October?" I was told "Yes". I was too stunned and sad to ask any more questions, plus she was quick to end the call.
I did ask to speak to the GM and was told he was unavailable.

With all the NEW new resorts being built down there, why do they think rebranding an old one will help?

no kidding...Breezes (16 and over family resort) is like 5 minutes away and MUCH nicer than Hedo as far as resorts go and they can't book that one! But let's change Hedo into another family resort...sometimes they don't make any sense at all. I am bummed...we did our renewal ceremony there 5 days after our wedding at home....guess we won't be doing a 10 year anniversary celebration there! (Thank God I never painted a rock....!!)

I'm just glad we're heading to H3 in 24 days, so I know for sure it will be there then.

Talked to our travel agent tonight...he books 7 group trips a year to H3. It's true...renovations and then UGH...16 and up family resort!! Guess that my son wondering why an all adult resort has a water slide no longer matters... WTF are they thinking!!

We don't get it either.What is going to happen to the people who aren't on this forum who have know idea what is happening? They show up and its W.T.F.!!! We thought this was H3! It's a sad sad day today in the H3 world!

Wow this thread received almost 2000 views in 6.5 hours. This is big news in the H3 community. I wonder what the heck we are going to do? We are booked at "H3" in December. Well what may be H3.... or Family Fun Resort... What I am wondering is what will we do if H2 is full when we decide to change? I guess I will watch the forums and make a decision sooner than later.

I doubt we will depend on luck. I would pull the plug on what use to be H3 real fast if there would be a bunch of kids there. We are trying to get away from kids for a week! That is the reason to go to an ADULT resort.
