We have visited many of the JA resorts but not Negril. We have not visited CO/AN resorts in Mexico. We are looking for the CO/AN resort with the best beach. Setting aside all of the other amenities; pool, nightlife, food, etc., which JA or Mexico resort has the best beach?

Of the places my wife and I have been Hedonism II is where we keep going back to. May change after a trip we plan to the DR but for now that is our choice.
Point well taken Face Down. I was trying to narrow the issue by taking out the other resort amenities except the actual beach. In other words I am interested in the "million" opinions regarding sand quality (e.g. white soft sand), water quality (e.g. no weeds, sand bottom no rocks), loungers, floats, shade, bar service, etc. I have learned what I need about the other services and amenities, but, can't find more than a few opinions about the beaches. Even though this is the Hedo II forum I know this is where most people read and where the people that have visited most of the other CO/AN resorts hang out. The best beaches we have been on were not associated with adult or c/o or nude resorts. There are weeds off the nude beach at Hedo. The prude beach is a little better. The beach off of Desire is a little better but not good for just floating around. The beach at Orient Beach Resort in St Martin is good but it has families and a lot of people just walking through and gawking.

Couples Tower Island has a nice swim-to Island. The Island is CO. It was a nice resort too (when we were last there -- may have changed). Little Beach in Big Island Hawaii Was beautiful sand, huge waves, naked people, no facilities, no resort -- but fun, and hot and sunny.
I really like the Desire Maya beach. Superb snorkeling way off the beach (take the daily snorkel trip, but that's not CO).
