It depends on where and when.
At the pool during the day - A good mix that keeps an upbeat vibe overall. Some reggae, hip-hop, top 40, club/dance, trance/edm, and hell even a little country... as long as it's UPBEAT. Also throw in some good fun songs from back in the day. Sure, throw on a laid back track every now and then but for the most part I think the music should keep everyone's vibe up. Nothing that would put us all to sleep. With a good variety of music there's no need to play any single track more than once a day unless someone specifically requests it. A good variety would also keep the majority of the crowd happier I think. Volume should not be too loud (as it always is) as we shouldn't have to shout to have a conversation in the pool. Aim the speakers at the beach if they need to.
In the disco at night - once again good variety and anything upbeat you can dance to. This is another area where you don't want to put the audience to sleep and to keep a party vibe. It should not be as deafeningly loud as it usually is, they definitely need to control the volume in the disco better. I'm not opposed to playing blocks of music to fit a certain theme on different nights... rave, retro 80's, funk, dancehall, etc, but dj should change it up every 30/45 mins or so.
Main bar during the day I think you can get away with playing more laid back tracks, and it would be cool if the majority of those were reggae songs or covers. At night I think it should be more upbeat, I know personally sometimes they play slow stuff at night that makes me drowsy, especially if I just ate and am sitting in one spot having a drink.
